The Distant is an abstract landscape using an calm,elegant palette of pale pink brown, cream, off white, deep midnight blue, charcoal and gold .
This artwork has so many interesting areas of subtle texture and washes of colour.
The painting flows over the deep edge canvas and it is signed on the edge.
A clear varnish protects the mixed media collage and gold leaf - and when the gold leaf is lit up by light, it glows beautifully.
